ROUNDUP : Parker’s Three-Point Shot Pushes Glendale Past El Camino, 85-83

James Parker hit a three-point shot with two seconds left to give the Glendale College men’s basketball team an 85-83 victory over El Camino in a first-round game of the Rancho Santiago basketball tournament on Friday.
The Vaqueros (3-0) trailed, 44-38, at halftime and were down by 11 points with six minutes left.
Maurice Sowells led Glendale with 18 points, including 12 in the second half. Ryan Asplund added 17, including five three-pointers.
In other men’s basketball games:
Ventura 93, West L.A. 66--Brandon Jessie had game-high totals of 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Pirates (3-1) to victory in their home opener.
The Master’s 127, LIFE Bible 34--James Mosley had 24 points and five steals for The Master’s in a first-round game of its own tournament.
Jon Shaw added 19 for the Mustangs (1-0), who will play Cal State Los Angeles, a 116-69 winner over San Jose Christian, in the championship game tonight.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Southwestern 58, Valley 41--Yvonne Zandi had team-high totals of 10 points and seven rebounds for Valley (1-3).
MEN’S SOCCER
Moorpark 10, Oxnard 0--Ryan Campbell scored three goals for the host Raiders.
