Summit to Focus on Revising Bus Routes
City and county transportation officials will hold the second in a series of four summits Saturday to discuss restructuring bus routes to better serve San Fernando Valley patrons and increase ridership on the lines.
Representatives from the Department of Transportation, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the Public Works Department will attend the meeting, which will include a public comment period.
The summit team--whose 110 members include transportation officials, homeowners and business people--is an offshoot of a group created by MTA board member Nikolas Patsaouras, under the former Rapid Transportation District.
The meeting will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Encino Community Center, 4935 Balboa Blvd.
