Treatment by City Council Was Appalling
* After sitting in a full City Council hearing with a group of my neighbors who are going through a very stressful situation, I was appalled by the uncaring, rude manner in which the citizens of Los Angeles are treated by the council.
When a person gets up to speak at the podium about an upsetting, difficult situation, most of the council members do not even listen. They are talking with people, walking around, drinking coffee or on the telephone!
When I visit my grandson’s first-grade class, the children pay better attention than our City Council.
