Spurred by a recent spate of robberies, Topanga Canyon residents will meet with deputies from the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff’s Station Thursday to talk about ideas for fighting crime in the canyon.
Dale Robinette, vice president of the Topanga Town Council, said his group called the meeting in response to several recent armed robberies in the area. At one, a store employee was tied up while thieves robbed the Topanga Creek Store.
The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Topanga Community Center.
