Abbey Healthcare Posts 3rd-Quarter Profit of $4.1 Million

Abbey Healthcare Group Inc., the Costa Mesa provider of respiratory therapy services and home medical, clinical and rehabilitation equipment and services, posted a third-quarter profit of $4.1 million, or 41 cents a share.

That was a 41% increase from earnings of $2.9 million, or 35 cents a share, for the 1992 third quarter. Revenue increased 35% to $81.1 million from $60.1 million. For the year to date, profit was up 52% to $11.1 million, or $1.14 a share, from $7.3 million, or 94 cents a share. Nine-month revenue rose 30% to $228.5 million from $176.3 million.
