President Clinton

* I cringe when I see that President Clinton wants more change (Oct. 13). Invariably he means more government, not less. Funding will come from the middle class one way or another. For me, it means more work and fewer choices.
Because we are so heavily taxed, we are not allowed to save for our retirement or to go into business for ourselves. Thus, we can’t quit or falter on our jobs, because our wherewithal has been preempted. We are forced to pay for government programs that run counter to our beliefs. We are forced to support ne’er-do-wells, malingerers, fat bureaucrats, social schemers and others who revel in trampling on our rights while they spend our money.
So-called “middle-class” wage earners with children constitute the new slave class. If we refuse to pay, we go to jail. If we refuse to work, we lose our ability to provide for our children and ultimately we lose our homes.
Like a quarry slave, I see myself working until the very day I die. What is worse, I see a similar, brutish future for my children. Oh, brave new world!

A suggestion for President Clinton bashers: Relax, smile, have fun, be good to your family, get a hobby, pet your dog, help your neighbor, start jogging.
Bill Clinton is going to be President for eight years, then Hillary Rodham Clinton is going to be President for eight years.
So please, stop walking around with ulcerating anger directed toward President Clinton. If not, sometime during the next 16 years, you’re going to get sick and add to the burden of medical costs--and you know--Hillary wouldn’t like that.
