Motorcyclist Injured in Collision With Car

A 37-year-old Oxnard man was in critical condition Sunday night after his motorcycle skidded into a car that was pulling into traffic from the side of Harbor Boulevard in Ventura, police said.
Curt Ritza suffered facial and skull injuries in the 4:45 p.m. accident, police said. He was wearing a “beanie-style” helmet when the collision occurred, police said. Ritza was admitted to Ventura County Medical Center in critical condition, a nursing supervisor said.
He was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on Harbor Boulevard when a car driven by 21-year-old Wendy Hinger of Ventura pulled into Ritza’s path, police said. Ritza skidded his motorcycle into the side of Hinger’s car, police said.
The investigation is continuing, police said.
