Wilson Sets Record as Fullerton Wins

Vince Wilson set a Fullerton single-game record with 13 receptions as the Hornets beat San Diego Mesa, 45-27, in a Mission Conference game Saturday at San Diego.
Wilson, a sophomore from Santa Fe Springs Santa Fe High, had touchdown receptions of 50 and nine yards and finished with 231 yards. Jerry McCoy had 12 receptions in a game for Fullerton in 1968. Josh Nelson was 25 of 32 for 303 yards and three touchdowns for Fullerton (3-3).
Fullerton also set a single-game record with 30 first downs. Jermaine Hill rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown for the Hornets.
