Electrified Prison Fence Is Necessary

* In the Valley section of The Times (Oct. 7), two of our stalwart citizens complained about the state prisons installing “death fences” and groused about the cost and even inferred that these electrified fences were something out of Nazi Germany!
Look at the last page of the same section: “Escapee from Lancaster State Prison Is Captured.” It’s interesting to note that the prisoner was sentenced to prison for murder without possibility of parole.
We certainly don’t need to see this convicted felon loose upon our community. Turn on the fence!
