*** Digital Underground, “The Body-Hat Syndrome,” Tommy Boy. Although such songs as “Bran Nu Swetta” and “Do You Like It Dirty” contain the clowning we expect from the group that made prosthetic noses hip, this fourth release by the colorful San Francisco-based rap posse does feature some unexpected moments of sheer poignancy. New albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor), two stars (fair), three stars (good) and four stars (excellent).
