The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between Oct. 11 and 17:
Glendale
South Central Avenue, 600 block--A woman discovered that a ring valued at $2,500 was missing from her purse, which had been left unattended while she used the restroom between 6 and 8 p.m. Oct. 11.
Olive Street, 100 block--Two thieves stole a bundle of mail from a postal carrier’s cart at 12:10 p.m. Oct. 12.
North Glendale Avenue, 400 block--Thieves armed with handguns robbed a service station and escaped with $217 at 9:55 p.m. Oct. 12.
Kirkton Place, 900 block--A gun-wielding thief waited for a man to pull into his garage then stole $250 and jewelry of unknown value at 10:40 p.m. Oct. 12.
Allen Avenue, 1200 block--Thieves entered a residence and stole guns valued at $550 and tools of unknown value between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Oct. 14.
North Verdugo Road, 2000 block--Thieves entered through a bathroom window to steal jewelry and a stereo valued together at more than $1,500 from a residence between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14.
East Stocker Street, 300 block--Thieves took jewelry valued at $1,125 from a residence between 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Oct. 14.
West Colorado Street, 400 block--Thieves with a gun stole $20 and an unknown amount of food stamps from a liquor store at 6:25 p.m. Oct. 14.
Louise Street and Elk Avenue--Thieves blocked the path of a woman then pulled a gun and stole her purse containing $50 at 8:35 p.m. Oct. 14.
Campbell Street, 1100 block--Thieves entered a residence, ransacked the rooms and stole jewelry valued at $1,100 between Oct. 14 and 15.
Kilmary Lane, 900 block--Entering a newly constructed home through a door that did not have a lock, thieves stole tools and speakers valued together at $1,235 at about 11 a.m. Oct. 15.
Winchester Avenue and Glenoaks Boulevard--Thieves walked up to man’s car, put a gun to his head and stole cash and a wallet valued together at $60 at 10:10 p.m. Oct. 17.
La Canada Flintridge
Foothill Boulevard, 700 block--Thieves stole purses valued together at $237 from two women in a yogurt shop at 2 p.m. Oct. 14.
Castle Road, 4500 block--Two thieves grabbed a woman’s purse containing $1,000, then while struggling for it pulled out a gun and pointed the weapon at her at 4:40 p.m. Oct. 14.
La Crescenta
Rockdell Street, 2500 block--While a woman was in the hospital, burglars stole jewelry valued at $2,150 and a health inspector’s badge in a theft discovered Oct. 13.
Foothill Boulevard, 2600 block--Thieves broke into a grocery store’s locked storage container and stole 150 cases of soft drinks valued at $1,200 between Oct. 16 and 17.
Atwater Village
Drew Street, 3400 block--Thieves came up behind a man, hit and kicked him until he fell, then stole jewelry valued at $2,750 at 1:25 a.m. Oct. 14.
Eagle Rock
Ellenwood Drive, 4500 block--Thieves took cash and jewelry valued together at $255 after threatening a woman at 8:50 p.m. Oct. 12.
Oak Grove Drive, 1500 block--Knife-wielding thieves approached a woman in her car, opened the door and held the weapon to her neck as they took her purse containing $165 at 9:40 p.m. Oct. 13.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4700 block--A thief entered a gas station and asked to use a phone, then pulled a gun and stole $500 at 4 p.m. Oct. 16.
Echo Park
North Glendale Boulevard, 1400 block--Thieves started a conversation with a man, then stole his wallet containing $150 at 1:50 a.m. Oct. 11.
Modjeska Street, 1900 block--Thieves entered through a front window and stole cash and jewelry valued together at $9,207 from a residence between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. Oct. 11.
Glendale Boulevard, 1300 block--Gun-toting thieves entered a business, forced the people inside into a rear room, then stole $660 at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 14.
Allesandro Street, 1600 block--Thieves took a woman’s purse containing $2,065 from a business countertop at an indoor swap meet at 6:10 p.m. Oct. 14.
Macbeth Street, 1400 block--Thieves entered through the side window of a home to steal a radio and sporting goods valued together at $2,010 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 16.
Sunset Boulevard and Beaudry Avenue--As a man parked his car, thieves pulled up in front of him and took the car and $110 at 2:50 a.m. Oct. 17.
Glassell Park
San Fernando Road, 2000 block--Thieves unlocked a business and stole tools and heavy equipment valued together at $5,000 between Oct. 14 and 15.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4300 block--Knife-wielding thieves stole $125 from a mini-market cash register at 3:20 a.m. Oct. 16.
Highland Park
Figueroa Street and York Boulevard--While a man was stopped at a traffic signal, thieves pulled up next to him, pulled a gun and stole his car at 1:45 a.m. Oct. 11.
York Boulevard, 6100 block--Thieves removed louvers from a rear window to enter a home and steal a TV and computer equipment valued together at $3,600 between Oct. 11 and 12.
North Figueroa Street, 5600 block--Burglars pried the hasps off a clothing store’s security door and stole clothing valued at $6,000 at 4 a.m. Oct. 14.
North Avenue 63 and York Boulevard--Gunmen stole cash and jewelry valued together at $640 from a man at 10 p.m. Oct. 13.
North Figueroa Street, 6600 block--Burglars thieves stole video and camera equipment valued together at $5,000 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Oct. 14.
York Boulevard and Aldama Street--A man waiting at a bus stop was approached by thieves with a gun who stole $250 from him then struck the victim in the face with the weapon at 5:30 a.m. Oct. 16.
Los Feliz
Edgemont Street, 1600 block--Thieves forced open the front door of a home and stole a TV and clothing valued together at $1,100 between Oct. 11 and 12.
North Mariposa Avenue, 1600 block--After removing the glass panel from a side window, thieves entered a residence and stole a TV and radio valued together at $2,083 between 11 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Oct. 12.
Ambrose Avenue, 4300 block--Thieves forced open the rear door of a home then stole a gun and computer equipment valued together at $1,250 at 1:15 p.m. Oct. 13.
Russell and Vermont Avenues--A thief grabbed a man around the neck, placed a sharp key to the man’s chest, then stole his wallet containing $160 at 3 a.m. Oct. 14.
Sunset Boulevard, 4300 block--While a man was involved in a struggle with one thief who was trying to start his car, another thief got in the car, started it and drove off at 11:15 a.m. Oct. 17.
Mount Washington
Marmion Way, 3500 block--A thief entered a woman’s residence as she showered and stole cash and jewelry valued together at $645 at 8:20 p.m. Oct. 14.
Silver Lake
Berkeley Avenue, 2700 block--Thieves smashed the side window of a residence then stole a radio and video equipment valued together at $1,100 at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 12.
Shadowlawn Avenue, 2800 block--Burglars stole a TV and video equipment valued together at $1,160 from a home at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 13.
Effie Street and Maltman Avenue--Thieves in a car pulled up alongside a man, then pulled a gun and stole $50 at 9:10 a.m. Oct. 15.
