SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO : Library to Display Cards From Charities
- Share via
A collection of holiday greeting cards from charitable groups will be on display at the San Juan Capistrano Regional Library through Nov. 30.
Called “Cards That Care,” the display gives the public a chance to support charities by ordering the greeting cards.
Groups that will benefit from the sale include the American Heart Assn., the American Cancer Society, the Leukemia Research Foundation, the American Humane Society and several others.
“Every year at Christmas, libraries do a lot of holiday decorating, but rarely do we get a chance to do something to benefit society,” said Jose Aponte, head librarian. “This is an opportunity for us to focus people’s attention on the real Christmas spirit of love and giving rather than crass commercialism.”
Order forms for the cards are available at the library, 31495 El Camino Real. For more information on the program, call (714) 493-1752.
