Theme parks: Euro Disney is turning into Discountland. The theme park near Paris, which has been plagued by disappointing results, is slashing its hotel and restaurant rates during its off season in an effort to draw more visitors. Starting in January, prices for the cheapest rooms will drop by one-third to about $54 a night. The move comes amid disappointing hotel occupancy rates. Walt Disney Co. operates the theme park and owns nearly half of the park’s parent company.
