SAN BERNARDINO — A man who allegedly sexually assaulted a 4-year-old Newport Beach girl while being photographed was charged Tuesday with six more child-molestation charges.
The counts against Ron Ruskjer 44, now amount to eight charges. Among the additional allegations is a rape charge.
Ruskjer is being held in a Rancho Cucamonga jail on $2-million bail.
His arraignment was postponed until Thursday.
Ruskjer was arrested in Detroit on Friday after exiting an airplane that had just arrived from Tokyo.
Authorities said Ruskjer, a former faculty member of Loma Linda University’s school of public health, and his girlfriend, Evelyn (Evie) Bacilio, 33, allegedly molested the girl while Bacilio baby-sat her in early January.
Bacilio is also expected to face up to eight felony charges.
She was being held in Las Vegas pending her return to California.
Bacilio was arrested as she was about to board a plane for Chicago.
Ruskjer and Bacilio live in Grand Terrace, a small town on the outskirts of San Bernardino.
Photographs depicting a toddler being sexually assaulted by a man and woman were found last Friday near Normandie Avenue and 1st Street in Los Angeles. Los Angeles police believe thieves who stole Ruskjer’s car tossed the instant camera snapshots out the window.
