Nationwide Health Properties’ Profit Rises 22%

Nationwide Health Properties Inc., the Newport Beach real estate investment trust, reported a 22% increase in profit for the third quarter, to $10.6 million, or 59 cents a share, from $8.7 million, or 53 cents a share, for the like period last year.
Revenue was up 9%, to $15.2 million from $13.9 million. For the nine-month period, profit rose 47%, to $30.3 million, or $1.73 a share, from $20.6 million, or $1.44 a share, for the corresponding period in 1992. Revenue rose 24%, to $44.4 million from $35.7 million.
