H&R; Block to Buy Meca Software Inc.: The Kansas City, Mo.-based nationwide tax preparation firm said it plans to buy Meca, a publisher of software that helps individuals and small-business owners prepare income taxes and manage their legal affairs. The companies said the purchase price will be about $32.2 million.
