Pavel Bure set up two goals by Gino Odjick that led the Vancouver Canucks to a 4-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Monday at Vancouver. Odjick tipped in Bure’s shot for a power-play goal in the first period, then finished off a two-on-one rush in the second.
Montreal 1, Boston 1--A slap shot by Gilbert Dionne sailed between the pads of goaltender Jon Casey at 5:53 of the third period to give the Canadiens a tie at Boston.
N.Y. Rangers 5, Washington 2--The Rangers scored three power-play goals in less than five minutes in the first period at New York.
