Countywide : Holiday Closings

Columbus Day will be observed today. The following will be closed to mark the holiday:
* All county, state and federal offices. Only Stanton will close its city offices.
* County, state and federal courthouses.
* City and county libraries will be open.
* Banks and savings and loans will be closed. Pomona First Federal and Home Savings banks will be open.
* Schools: Classes at schools, community colleges and universities will be held as scheduled, except in the Laguna Beach Unified School District and the Westminster School District; call local school districts to confirm.
* Mail: There will be no mail delivery. All post offices will be closed, and mail deposited in mailboxes will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule.
* Trash: Trash will be picked up by city and county refuse workers on a regular schedule.
* Buses: Orange County Transportation Authority buses will run on regular schedules. All Dial-a-Ride and car-pool services will be available.
* Parks: All city- and county-run parks and recreation facilities will be open during regular hours.
