LAKE ARROWHEAD--If you can’t make it to Germany this fall, head to the mountains for Oktoberfest. German food, Bavarian orchestras and a beer garden will be in full swing every Saturday and Sunday in October from noon to 5 p.m. in the Lake Arrowhead Village Festival Area. Free admission. OJAI--Members of the area’s diverse artistic community open their doors for the Ojai Studio Artists Tour 1993, Saturday-next Sunday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. both days. Self-guided tours start at the Ojai Art Center, 113 S. Montgomery St. Tickets are good for both days. $12 in advance; $15 the weekend of the tour. Ticket-holders may attend a reception with the artists, 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the center. (805) 646-8126.
PISMO BEACH--The 47th annual Pismo Beach Clam Festival is Saturday-next Sunday at the pier. The Clam Festival Parade kicks it off at 10 a.m. Saturday on Price and Cypress streets. Festivities on Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., include a rubber duckie regatta. $1. (800) 443-7778.
RANCHO BERNARDO--Next Sunday’s Fall Art and Wine Festival brings together works by area artists and wines from Southern California. Noon-4 p.m. at the Promontory Building, 11440 W. Bernardo Court. $7 in advance; $9 at the door. (619) 487-1767.
SOLVANG--Country and Western culture finds its way to this Danish town at the California CountryFest, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Oct. 30.
