Nordhoff 15, Bishop Diego 8--Dallan Rigby’s four-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter broke an 8-8 tie and gave the Rangers a win at San Marcos High. Rigby’s run capped an eight-play 85-yard drive.
Nordhoff’s Sean Leach gave Nordhoff a 6-0 lead with a pair of first-half field goals, including one of 49 yards.
The Rangers (3-2) increased the margin to 8-0 late in the second quarter, when Bishop Diego snapped the ball out of its end zone for a safety.
Bishop Diego (3-2) tied the score in the third quarter on Mike Hayes’ 15-yard touchdown reception from Greg Van Wyk.
