Burl Ives, 84, Sent Home After Bout With Infection

ANACORTES, Wash. — Burl Ives has been released from a hospital after treatment for a high fever that resulted from a foot infection. The 84-year-old singer-actor, known for his rendition of “Jimmy Crack Corn” and “Frosty the Snowman,” will continue receiving antibiotics and nursing care at home, his wife said Friday.
