Belmont 13, Verdugo Hills 7--Dale Saulque threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Giovanni Morales with 22 seconds left to lift Belmont (5-1, 2-0).

Verdugo Hills (1-4, 1-1) tied the score, 7-7, on Greg Martin’s four-yard touchdown run with 3:25 left in the fourth quarter. Martin rushed for 87 yards in 18 carries.

Trailing, 7-0, the Dons drove to the Sentinel 23-yard line early in the fourth quarter, but the drive ended when David Bryant threw an incomplete pass on a fourth down play.
