CORONA DEL MAR : Church Takes Turn as Homeless Shelter
- Share via
For the next two weeks, people in search of food and shelter can turn to St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.
Until Oct. 15, the church’s Parish Hall will be used as a dormitory for 12 men and women, church officials said. After that date, those people will be moved to a church in South County for an additional stay.
Besides food and lodging, the church will provide transportation assistance, showers, telephone answering services and guidance to help homeless people find steady jobs and housing.
St. Michael is one of 95 churches in the Interfaith Shelter Network of the Orange County Homeless Issues Task Force. The network is supported by donations from the various church congregations.
St. Michael is at 3233 Pacific View Drive.
