Top-seeded Stefan Edberg defeated Marc Rosset, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5), in the semifinals of the Swiss Indoors tournament at Basel, Switzerland.
Edberg, winner of the tournament a record three times, will play second-seeded Michael Stich of Germany for the title.
Stich defeated Czech qualifier Martin Damm, 7-6 (8-6), 6-4.

Michael Chang and Sweden’s Jonas Svensson advanced to the final of the Malaysia Salem Open at Kuala Lumpur.
Chang played aggressively to rout South Africa’s Grant Stafford, 6-1, 6-3, while Svensson was extended in a grueling match before beating Australia’s Neil Borwick, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4.
