14 Slain in Medellin Bars

BOGOTA, Colombia — Unidentified gunmen sprayed four crowded bars with machine-gun fire in attacks in a working-class neighborhood of Medellin late Friday, killing 14 people and injuring 25 others. Police said the gunmen were likely members of organized crime or the so-called popular militia, which threatens and kills suspected criminals.
