Bell 14, Jefferson 12--The Eagles came back from a 12-0 deficit with touchdowns by Herbert Anguiano and Danny Morales to hand Jefferson its first loss of the season in a Southeastern Conference game.

The Democrats came on strong early with two first-quarter touchdowns. Junior running back Isaac Hatley scored on a 67-yard run less than a minute into the game. Seven minutes later, senior running back Thurman Spencer ran 23 yards for the Democrats’ second and final score.

In the fourth quarter, Alcala set up the winning touchdown with a 24-yard catch, and Morales scored on a quarterback sneak on fourth-and-goal to give Bell the victory. Next week: Jefferson vs. Murphy at Jackie Robinson Stadium; Jordan at Bell.
