Johanson Dielectrics, a Sylmar producer of microchips and other electronic components, will move one of its key operations to Camarillo early next year.
The company has purchased a 25,000-square-foot building on Via Alondra as the new site for its specialty division, reports Bob Belter, Johanson’s president. He said about 60 employees will initially be based at the facility.
Belter said some of the division’s staff will probably move to Ventura County from the present location in Burbank, “but we’ll probably be hiring a couple of dozen new people as assemblers and testing-machine operators.”
Privately held Johanson has 500 employees and annual sales of between $25 million and $35 million, Belter said.
