Pepperdine’s Women Edge Loyola in Soccer

Jennifer Evans, Tabitha Garibay and Heidi Ramage each scored a goal to lift the Pepperdine women’s soccer team to a 3-2 victory over host Loyola Marymount Saturday in the first meeting between the schools.
Ramage put Pepperdine (4-3) ahead 3-0 early in the second half on a 25-yard kick.
Cindy Carullo scored in the 63rd minute and Rachel Bosma added a goal with less than a minute to play for Loyola Marymount (2-4). Loyola goalkeeper Kerry Yarak had five saves for the Lions, who outshot Pepperdine, 15-12.

Loyola Marymount 3, Central Michigan 2--Tim Bernard had two goals and Daniel Christian scored another to lead the Lions in the third-place game of the Cleveland State Charter One Bank Soccer Classic. Bernard, Christian and Dan Gray were named to the all-tournament team for Loyola (2-6).
