TREADING HALOS: The Angels will close out their home season today the same way they opened it, with Mark Langston pitching an afternoon game. This one’s against the division-leading Chicago White Sox. . . . Too bad for the Halos they couldn’t play all their games at Anaheim Stadium. They’re nine games above .500 at home, but a dismal 24-47 on the road. . . . The Angels should barely top last year’s 72-90 record. But they’re well ahead of Minnesota and Oakland. In 1992, only Seattle robbed the Angels of the division cellar.
