Disease Detection Gets Brazilian Order

IRVINE — Disease Detection International Inc. said Monday that its Brazilian joint venture has won an order from the large state of Sao Paulo for as much as $4 million worth of the company’s SeroCard HIV-1 AIDS tests.
Sao Paulo will use the 1.2 million tests in a broad program for low-income people. The state has a population of 30 million and is expected to order more tests through next year, Disease Detection said.
