STANTON — A man was wounded Sunday night in a drive-by shooting in the 10900 block of Oak Street, authorities said.
The man, identified only as a 40-year-old Stanton resident, was taken to the trauma unit at UCI Medical Center in Orange with injuries to his arm and chest shortly after the 7 p.m. shooting, according to a Sheriff’s Department spokesman. The bullet apparently entered the man’s arm and traveled into his chest.
Lt. Ron Wilkerson said the man was walking when a vehicle drove past him and at least one occupant opened fire.
The incident is under investigation by sheriff’s deputies.
