Gun Story Needed Front-Page Play

* I about laughed myself silly after finding an article (“Intruder Slain in Gun Battle With Resident”) promoting gun ownership in The Times’ Sept. 14 edition buried on Page B5. As we all know, The Times, editorially, comes down rock solid as pro gun control. But here we have an article which backs up the National Rifle Assn. 100%.
In this particular case, an armed resident was able to save his and his loved ones’ lives from a potentially deadly home invasion robbery attempt. Nice going, Times, but next time give stories like this the front-page coverage they deserve!
