COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Titan Soccer Team Beats Cal, Improves its Record to 5-0

Matt Bradbury and Mark Vaught scored as Cal State Fullerton, the fourth-ranked team in the nation, defeated Cal, 2-0, in a nonconference men’s soccer game Friday at Titan Stadium.
Bradbury scored off an assist Paul McDonnell at the 21st minute of the first half. Vaught’s goal for the Titans (5-0) came with six minutes left. California is 0-2.
In the Southern California Water Polo Tournament:
UC Irvine splits--The No. 6-ranked Anteaters lost to fourth-ranked UCLA, 11-6, but beat Redlands, 16-2. Marc Hunt, a senior, had 10 goals in the two games including seven against Redlands. Chris Kellerman had four goals for UCLA, which built a 7-3 lead at the half.
Kevin Dillenbeck, a former Golden West player, had seven saves for UCLA.
In the Big West Conference women’s volleyball.
Pacific 3, UC Irvine 1--Charlotte Johansson, with 13 kills, helped sixth-ranked Pacific (5-2) defeat UC Irvine in the Big West opener, 15-13, 9-15, 15-13, 15-8. Senior Alison Bantel led UC Irvine with 16 kills. Popi Edwards had 15 kills and Stacy Mitchell 12 for the Anteaters. UC Irvine is 4-4.
In Golden State Athletic Conference women’s volleyball:
Fresno Pacific 3, Concordia 1--Molly Jordan had nine kills, but visiting Concordia lost, 15-11, 15-1, 11-15, 15-8. Stacy Kaufmann had 14 kills for Fresno Pacific (12-5, 1-0). Concordia is (4-5, 0-1).
