New Quarterback for Northridge Tonight at Northern Arizona
- Share via
Winless Cal State Northridge will start its third quarterback in as many games when J.J. O’Laughlin lines up behind center tonight against undefeated Northern Arizona (2-0) in a nonconference game at Flagstaff, Ariz.
O’Laughlin, a junior from Glendora High, transferred to Northridge from Illinois 13 days ago.
He replaces Clayton Millis, a sophomore transfer from Oregon who had two interceptions and completed eight of 22 passes for 64 yards in last week’s 27-12 defeat by Weber State. Millis became the starter when Coley Kyman suffered season-ending leg and ankle injuries in the Matadors’ 34-17 season-opening loss to San Diego State.
