Loara, Sr.
Football / Running back
Dawson blurred memories of the Saxons’ dismal 1992 season with three spectacular touchdown runs in Loara’s 20-14 victory over Western Friday. First, he returned a kickoff 93 yards to tie the score, 7-7. Then, seconds before halftime, he scored on a 44-yard run to tie the score at 14-14. But he saved the best for his last touchdown--a 94-yard draw play during which he broke four tackles. Dawson, who left the game because of a sprained ankle with 5 minutes 28 seconds left, finished with 211 yards in 18 carries, 110 return yards and three yards receiving.
