Who Are All These Guys and What Do They Do?

Can anyone explain to me why we need Gene Autry, Jackie Autry, Whitey Herzog, Dan O’Brien and Richard Brown to run the Angels?

Autry himself has never been a smart owner. Now we have his new wife, who seems to be looking out more for the family fortunes than the baseball team. We have Herzog, who never seems to be around and doesn’t seem to know what’s going on when he is around. What Brown and O’Brien do is beyond me. I mean, it’s criminal to give away Bryan Harvey the way they did. And to give up Jim Abbott and not even get one established player in return?

If I were Finley or Langston, I certainly wouldn’t re-sign with the Angels. Why should they?
