Hard Rock Cafe’s Casino Plans Revived: The restaurant chain said it is joining with Harvey’s Hotel & Casino of Lake Tahoe to open an $80-million, 325-room hotel and casino in Las Vegas late next year. Construction of the casino, which will be next to the Las Vegas Hard Rock Cafe, is expected to start this year, with December, 1994, as the projected opening date. Harvey’s will manage the complex. A previous hotel and casino project between Hard Rock and Harrah’s Casino Hotels unraveled after a disagreement over control.
