California IN BRIEF : MONTEREY : 4 Die in Fiery Head-On Collision

Four people were killed when a pickup and a van collided head-on early Saturday, the California Highway Patrol said. The pickup carrying three persons and a van with only the driver collided on California 156 near Castroville, about 20 miles northeast of Monterey. Both vehicles and all occupants were burned. The names of the victims were not released.
