Graffiti Clean-Up Volunteers Needed
The Echo Park Improvement Assn. is seeking volunteers to participate in a graffiti clean-up Saturday.
The paint-outs are conducted every other month to help Sunset Boulevard businesses clean graffiti off their walls.
Echo Park residents and teen-agers from the Los Angeles Conservation Corps work for three hours, using paint and supplies provided by the city’s Operation Clean Sweep program.
The morning ends with a free lunch provided by the local Domino’s Pizza and Pioneer Market.
Volunteers will gather at 8 a.m. Saturday at the offices of the Central City Action Committee, 1160 Glendale Blvd.
All ages are welcome. Volunteers who can donate the use of pickup trucks or other large vehicles are also needed.
Information: (213) 882-4835.
