Ingersoll-Rand Names New Chairman and CEO: James E. Perrella will succeed Theodore H. Black, who will retire Oct. 31. Perrella, who joined Ingersoll-Rand in 1962, will also continue as president, a post he has held since September. Black, chairman and CEO since 1988, started with the company in 1957. Ingersoll-Rand, based in Woodcliff Lake, N.J., is a manufacturer of industrial machinery and security devices.
