It’s the Economy

Rep. Elton Gallegly tells us a raid in Oxnard apprehended 52 illegal immigrants and that, within hours, 210 area residents applied for these jobs. Due to the recession, area residents are working at jobs that are not in their chosen fields or trade. They are doing any job to survive because of layoffs or plant closings, so I want to whisper this message to Elton: “It’s the economy, stupid.” I know you’ve heard this before.
The U.S. taxpayer is wrong for blaming Mexican illegals for their plight. The true blame lies with the Mexican government. But it’s also equally wrong for our politicians to spread the hatred of illegals for the purpose of getting reelected or for political gain.
