Very Caring Clinic

Regarding Ventura’s pet emergency center (“Clinic Night Owls Put Animal Health First,” Aug. 1): The staff at the clinic had the unfortunate task of calling and telling me that my cat had leukemia. Before taking her to my own vet, clinic workers discussed the options and were most kind.
Much to my surprise the vet, Anita Parra, DVM, called a few days later to ask what decision I had made and expressed her sympathy when I told her that my cat was gone and at peace. To my even greater surprise, she sent me a condolence card.
All of this for a cat she knew less than 24 hours and a person she met only once. I can truly attest to the caring atmosphere that runs the clinic.
