CANOGA PARK : Police to Display Recovered Goods

Los Angeles police detectives will hold an open house Monday to display stolen landscaping equipment recovered last week at a Canoga Park home.
An estimated 30 pieces of equipment, including lawn mowers, leaf blowers, weed eaters and chain saws will be displayed at Howard Sommers Towing yard, 7252 Deering Ave., Canoga Park, between 4 and 7 p.m., police said. In order to recover equipment, those attending the display will be required to provide serial numbers or other types of identification.
Police believe that a theft ring preyed on professional landscapers by following them home from jobs and then stealing their trucks and equipment as they slept.
