HUNTINGTON BEACH : Plans Made for Meals Program at Schools
- Share via
The Huntington Beach City School District expects to serve free meals or reduced-priced meals to about 1,000 children under the National School Lunch Program during the school year that starts Sept. 8.
Household size and income levels are used to determine a child’s eligibility.
School officials are distributing forms to all households, along with information about the meals program. Applications are also available at the principal’s office at each school.
To apply, adults must fill out the application and return it to the school as soon as possible, or at any time during the school year that eligibility occurs.
Parents or guardians with questions are encouraged to call their local school.
School lunches are regularly priced at $1.50.
