Final Arguments in American Airlines Case: A court battle involving three leaders of the U.S. airline industry will end today, with final arguments in a lawsuit that seeks to prove American Airlines used predatory pricing to hurt weaker carriers. Jury deliberations are expected to begin Tuesday in the battle that pitted struggling airlines Continental and Northwest against American, the nation’s largest carrier. Top executives of the three airlines as well as several antitrust and industry experts testified during the nearly four-week trial before a jury of nine men and three women.
