Four players on two of the top American Legion teams in the area have been declared ineligible by state officials.
Verdugo Hills’ John Workman, Dan Bir and Yves Brancheau and Van Nuys East’s Jim Landress have been declared ineligible because their presence pushed the combined enrollments of the schools from which their teams drew their players above the 3,600 limit.
Verdugo Hills is 15-3 and Van Nuys East is 17-1.
