HUNTINGTON BEACH — After eating a hearty meal, a customer pulled a semi-automatic handgun on restaurant employees and demanded money.
Police said the robbery occurred at 11 p.m. Friday at Zubies Dry Dock in the 9000 block of Adams Avenue. The man got away with $300.
“He was last seen running out the back door and he drove away in a small red vehicle,” said police Sgt. J.B. Hume.
Police described the suspect as about 5-foot-7, 160 pounds and cleanshaven. He was wearing a blond, curly wig and a trench coat, police said.
Employees who declined to be identified said Saturday that they believed the man intended to rob the restaurant before he sat down to eat.
