Body of Shooting Victim Found in Alley Identified

CERRITOS — A 26-year-old Burbank man found dead in a Cerritos alley of a gunshot wound to his head was identified by authorities Thursday.
The body of Edwin Martinez, 26, was discovered about 6:20 a.m. Wednesday by an employee of A Pool Store II in the 16700 block of Parkside Avenue, who was taking trash to a dumpster in the alley behind the store, Sheriff’s Deputy Angie McLaughlin said.
Homicide detectives have no suspects, McLaughlin said.
