OJAI : Toddler Dies a Week After Fall Into Pool

A 20-month-old girl who fell into a pool at her grandparents’ Ojai home last week died Thursday morning.
From the time she was discovered in the pool by her mother’s sister, she never regained consciousness and was kept alive by life-support systems, said officials at Valley Presbyterian Hospital.
Jenelle Pulley fell into the pool shortly before 5 p.m. June 24 after crawling into the yard through an open sliding-glass door at the Bonmark Drive home. Her grandfather was home at the time, but did not see the toddler crawl outside, Sheriff’s Deputy Landis Potter said.
Jenelle and her parents, Carol and Stephen from Twentynine Palms, were visiting family when the incident occurred.
