Rockwell, UAW Agree on 3-Year Contract

SEAL BEACH — Rockwell International Corp. and the United Auto Workers ratified a new three-year labor agreement Monday that covers 4,000 workers.
The agreement covers aerospace workers of United Auto Workers Local 887 at Rockwell plants in Anaheim; Canoga Park; Seal Beach; Local 952 at Tulsa, Okla.; Local 1558 at McAlester, Okla.; and Local 1519 at Santa Susana, Calif.
The pact, approved by a vote of 68%, includes lump-sum payments of 4% in the first year, 4% in the second year and 3% in the third year, each based on the previous year’s wages.
The contract also renews a cost-of-living adjustment and speeds the schedule for wage increases.
